Busy as a dozen eggs.
I have been very busy of late. In October we were the first, of the seven wards in our stake to host a single adult luncheon. Before they had been hosted by two "little old ladies" that is the description our stake Relief Society president gave them. They finally got tired of doing it them selves and asked for help. We just got the luck of the draw I guess. We had chili, rolls, toss salad, and we bought Marie Callendar Frozen pies for some of our single adult sisters to bake. The age of the group ranged from 30 and up. There were some twenty people there. There was one man. They seemed to enjoy the meal and each others company. That was on November 1st. The night before, because if was Halloween I went with Paula and the kids to the downtown Tooele stores where people in contumes handed out candy to people and kids in customes, most of them. I wore my bright green levies, my green turtle neck shirt, my bright hunter orange sweatshirt with a pumpkin face painted on it and a bright yellow-green baseball cap that I sewed big bright green leaves to . Quinton was there with his spiderman costume. Emma was there with Trenton and his three younger sisters.I believe Paula can get Susan some pictures I think she took some. I did not bring my camera, like a dunce. Later they came to our trunk or treat at our church parking lot. Our bishop was dressed like a Father with a black shirt, black suit and a white collar turned backward. One of the ladies in our ward Ann Jenkins went up to him and said Father Condie, I'm sorry I forgot my appointment for my confession. She said he did not know what to say but smiled. She and her funny visiting partner Kaye Horrocks, your former first grade teacher went to Beverly Eltons, Margene Parishes and two other ladies homes for their visiting teaching; however they were decked out like witches with make-up and wigs. They are a hoot together. Ann said they have some pictures I will have to let her show them to me.

Blog questions
I have a few questions.
What is a G mail address? How do I add pictures? How do I add the addresses of the people whose blogs I would like to read from time to time?
When I want to have you check out a posting that I have done, do I use my blogspot.com address. Will the computer print it in blue like it did on your e mail Wendy? Does Google pick it up and send you to my blog so that you can read it?
I would like to get the hang of this sometime. Love a confused Ms. Egg.

Ms. Egg rolls down the road on the 24th.
Yesterday Ms. Egg got a phone call that her grandchildren would be so happy if she would gather up her Mormon pioneer clothes (skirts, aprons, and bonnets), dress up and march in the T. Town's Childrens 24th of July Parade with their ward. Ms. Egg went downstairs found the box, set the dryer on quick dry threw in a damp washcloth and got the wrinkles out of the skirts. I found one long one as well as an apron and a sunbonnet and drove across down, I got some stares. I'd isn't everyday that Ms. Egg wears a pioneer bonnet when she drives across town. We piled into the car and drove to the local high school parking lot. While we waited for the 23rd ward float to arrive we all fried in the sun. There are now six stakes in our area with an average of 6 wards in each stake. Do the math and you can tell that we had quite a large children's parade. We did not go through mainstreet but the parade headed four long uphill blocks south, one block east and four quicker downhill blocks north, and back to our destination. My ten year old pioneer granddaughter helped another gal hold the banner for the ward. She was a trooper. She did not get a break to get a drink just trudged onward. Her eight year old sister sat on the float up by the water cooler, a smart place. I think each time someone got a drink when the float would halt for a time, she would get a drink too. the Middle granddaughter sat in the back and got more and more bored so halfway around the route she walked with her grandmother. We were all glad for the experience, the company, the time together, and especially that the parade route was not any longer. Later in the evening we all gathered in O. Town and ate watermelon, visited and shot off the rest of the fireworks (from the 4th of July?) Ms. Egg gratefully sat in one chair and Humpty sat in the other chair provided by their thoughtful grandson, a cook at Burger King. When we got home Humpty and Ms. Egg gratefully rolled into bed.

A Song to Great each Day
Hymn # in the hymn book always comes to mind as I stand gazing out of our upstairs window at the new day and the sun just having risen above the mountains just east of Tooele. "The day dawn is breaking, the world is awakening,
The clouds of the darkeness are fleeing away. From ocean to ocean now starts the commotion that heralds the start of a beautiful day. " Sometimes I think of other places I have been and how a certain day went at that time. One of my favorite memories is the time my dear mother and I spent in Manhattan, NewYork together. Often I think of my favorite statement made by Anne of Anne of Green Gables about each day being brand new with no mistakes in it. I look out and wonder what Dennis is doing with his little family, and what Wendy is doing as she goes on her walks. Where mom is and which one of us she might be visiting. I love to spend time while it is quiet in the house pouring over my scriptures while Humpty sleeps. I think of the opportunities that lie ahead and experiences I may have. I also think of the scripture in the Book of Mormon, Mosiah 3:19 " For natural man is an enemy to God and... will be... unless he
( she) yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit and putteth of the natural man and becometh... submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love..." Feeling the spirit helps Ms. Egg remain soft boiled longer during the day and keeps her from rolling away from her goals and getting lost somewhere in the minutiae of the day. She can be come a real scrambled egghead sometimes. Sunday's I am often too busy preparing for our block of meetings. Wednesday I have the privilege of walking the halls of the Salt Lake Temple as a temple worker. I have spent most of my time working in a very quiet area where I have felt the sweet spirit of the sisters with whom I have contact. Working there helps prepare me for the rigors of being the ward Relief Society President, especially during the times of visiting-teaching-route changes. I better close for now so when I walk around the ward handing out report slips to our district advisors I don't 'fry' yours. Ms Egg

We are joining the Bloggers.
I am struggling to learn the ins and outs of blogging. I have figured out how to setup my site and how to post comments. I still hope to learn how to improve the layout, colors and the various page elements, but I have made a good start. I am trying to find an appropriate picture for my blog.
If anyone can go to my blog site I hope they email me and let me know. I will try to blog at least once a week--at least at first. I have enjoyed reading the blogs Wendy has introduced me to.
